Editorial Board Policy

The editorial board of Epidemiology Reports is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of scientific integrity, transparency and fairness. Members are expected to:

  • Uphold confidentiality and impartiality in all editorial decisions.
  • Serve as ambassadors for the journal by promoting high‑quality submissions and engaging the research community.
  • Provide constructive, timely feedback on manuscripts and assist with peer review when requested.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines, avoiding conflicts of interest and protecting the privacy of authors and reviewers.
  • Advise on journal policies, special issues and strategic direction.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Editor‑in‑Chief: Provides overall leadership for the journal, ensures scientific quality, coordinates editorial board activities, and oversees the peer‑review process.
  • Senior Editors: Support the Editor‑in‑Chief by handling manuscript assignments, guiding policy implementation, and promoting the journal to potential authors.
  • Associate Editors & Editorial Board: Manage peer review for assigned submissions, recruit expert reviewers, evaluate reviewer reports, and make recommendations on manuscripts.
  • Reviewers: Provide objective, confidential and constructive assessments of manuscripts, highlighting strengths and weaknesses and suggesting improvements.
  • Authors: Ensure originality of submissions, disclose any potential conflicts of interest, and comply with ethical standards and journal policies.

The journal follows a rigorous double‑blind peer‑review process. Manuscripts are evaluated on scientific merit, clarity, and relevance. The editorial board reserves the right to reject submissions that do not meet the journal's standards or scope.
