Aims and Scope
Epidemiology Reports is an open access, peer‑reviewed journal that publishes research articles, reviews, and case reports on the distribution and determinants of health‑related events in populations. The journal aims to disseminate insights from descriptive and analytic epidemiology to inform public health practice, disease prevention, and health policy.
We welcome submissions that report innovative methods, rigorous study designs, and practical applications across the spectrum of epidemiology, including:
- Descriptive and analytic epidemiology: population-based studies that describe patterns of disease and evaluate risk factors, exposures, and determinants.
- Outbreak investigation and surveillance: reports of infectious disease outbreaks, surveillance systems, and early‑warning tools.
- Risk factor analysis & causal inference: studies using observational and experimental data to identify causal relationships and quantify risk.
- Chronic disease epidemiology: research on non‑communicable diseases including cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and mental health.
- Environmental & occupational health: studies on the impact of environmental exposures, pollution, climate change, and workplace hazards on health.
- Global health & emerging infections: research addressing international health disparities, emerging infectious diseases, and pandemic preparedness.
- Biostatistics & methodology: development of statistical methods, study designs, and data science approaches for epidemiologic research.
- Public health interventions: evaluations of policies, programs, and interventions aimed at disease prevention and health promotion.
Through rigorous peer review and rapid publication, the journal seeks to advance knowledge that improves population health and guides evidence‑based decision making.
