Editorial Board Guidelines
- Contribute actively to the journal’s development by soliciting high-quality manuscripts and submitting your own work when appropriate.
- Promote the journal in your professional networks and at scientific meetings.
- Provide constructive and timely peer-review when invited, or recommend qualified reviewers if unable to review.
- Maintain strict confidentiality during the peer-review process and avoid using privileged information for personal advantage.
- Advise the editorial office on emerging topics, special issues and improvements to the journal.
- Uphold fairness and transparency, declaring any conflicts of interest and recusing yourself when necessary.
Responsibilities of the Editor-in-Chief
- Provide overall leadership for the journal and uphold its editorial vision and scope.
- Oversee the peer-review process to ensure objectivity, quality and timely decisions.
- Make final decisions on acceptance or rejection of manuscripts based on reviewers’ reports and editorial judgement.
- Appoint and coordinate senior editors, associate editors and reviewers.
- Ensure adherence to ethical standards and handle allegations of misconduct.
Responsibilities of Senior Editors
- Assist the Editor-in-Chief in managing peer review and making editorial decisions.
- Assign reviewers and provide guidance on specialised subject areas.
- Encourage submissions in their areas of expertise and promote the journal among peers.
- Advise on journal policies, special issues and strategic development.
Responsibilities of Associate Editors
- Manage the peer-review process for assigned manuscripts, ensuring timely and rigorous evaluations.
- Select qualified reviewers and provide recommendations to the senior editors and Editor-in-Chief.
- Contribute to the journal’s outreach by identifying emerging topics and potential contributors.
- Uphold confidentiality and declare conflicts of interest when handling submissions.
