Aims and Scope
Emergency Medicine and Health Care is an open access, peer-reviewed journal that publishes original research, reviews and case reports covering all aspects of emergency medicine and acute care. The journal aims to advance the science and practice of emergency medicine by disseminating high-quality articles on the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and management of acute illnesses and injuries in both hospital and pre-hospital settings.
We invite submissions covering, but not limited to, the following subject areas:
- Trauma care and resuscitation
- Pre-hospital and ambulance medicine
- Acute cardiovascular and neurological emergencies
- Critical care and intensive care medicine
- Disaster and mass-casualty medicine
- Poisonings and toxicology
- Pediatric and geriatric emergency medicine
- Emergency imaging and diagnostics
- Emergency nursing and allied health
- Public health, health policy and quality improvement in emergency care
The journal welcomes submissions from clinicians, researchers and healthcare professionals working in emergency departments, urgent care, pre-hospital services and related disciplines around the world.
