Editorial Board Policy
General Guidelines for Editorial Board Members
- Editors are responsible for the journal’s overall content and quality.
- Collaborate with fellow board members to guide journal development and policy.
- Communicate new policies and guidelines to reviewers and authors.
- Maintain regular communication with the editorial office.
- Uphold integrity, confidentiality, and protection of individual data.
- Submit at least one manuscript annually and provide constructive, fair, and timely feedback to authors.
- Promote the journal within academic communities and at relevant meetings.
Editor-in-Chief
Term & Criteria: Two‑year renewable term; 75–100 publications in international peer‑reviewed journals; academic rank above Professor or equivalent.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership, ensuring the journal’s vision and integrity.
- Guide editorial policy, select and rotate board members, and conduct annual meetings.
- Encourage submission of high‑quality articles and oversee final decisions on manuscripts.
- Monitor ethical issues, handle complaints and appeals, and support the publisher in addressing misconduct.
Senior Editor
Term & Criteria: One‑year renewable term; 30–50 publications; academic rank above Associate Professor or equivalent.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist the Editor‑in‑Chief in the peer‑review process and decision making.
- Ensure the quality of published content and encourage high‑quality submissions.
- Provide constructive feedback and help set annual objectives for the editorial board.
- Act as acting Editor‑in‑Chief when required and support policy development.
Associate Editor
Term & Criteria: One‑year renewable term; 15‑20 publications; academic rank above Assistant Professor or equivalent.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Support the Editor‑in‑Chief and Senior Editor, guiding authors, editors, and reviewers.
- Encourage high‑quality submissions, monitor manuscript quality, and ensure effective peer review.
- Maintain integrity of the journal’s content and suggest eminent reviewers.
- Contribute to policy development and promote the journal.
Note: Editorial board members are expected to review 3–5 manuscripts per year. Those who fail to meet this expectation may be removed according to editorial policy. Criteria may vary by journal at the editorial office’s discretion.
